Dutch Climate

Most tourists visit the Netherlands during summertime. The warmest months of the year are June to August, when temperatures range between 21 and 26 'C (due to global warming, september and october are quite hot too lately). It is the best time to sit by the canals or take a bike trip through the country. An other good season is spring because the bulb flowers are in full bloom.

There are rarely extreme temperatures and even in winter the temperature does not often fall far below freezing point. Trying to avoid the Dutch dizzle is nearly impossible because rain is spread pretty evenly over the year.Winter can be quite cold, but you will find that the museums are not very busy, which is not a bad thing. The air is relatively humid and fog is common in late autumn and early spring. There are strong winds from October to March.

Below you find  data from the Dutch Climate Institue (KNMI). The data are from 1991-2000. Remember, also in the Netherlands, its getting warmer every year...
