Nowadays most of the people in Amsterdam have internet at home, because the costs did decrease very much the last few years. In Amsterdam itself Chello (cable, www.upc.nl) has very good offers, as well as the ADSL providers such as Zon, Tiscali, Wanadoo, Het Net, Demon and Planet.

Besides that you can always get access to the web in one of the many internet cafes in the centre or in the other parts of the city. The biggest one is EasyEverything close to the Rembrandtplein, in the Reguliersbreestraat. The cheapest internet cafes can be found just outside of the centre, in Oud West, in the Bilderdijkstraat and the Kinkerstraat. In contrast with other world cities, there not as many internet cafes as you should expect.
